Rantings and ravings. Just think of it as Sunday afternoon with the in-laws, or the eccentric grandmother. Good times had by all. Except me..because I always seem upset in my blog posts..hm.

I'm sorry but...you and me? It just isn't workin out.

I HAVE NO TIME TO WRITE IN MY BLOG THIS WEEK AND IT'S BREAKING MY HEART.

How pathetic is that. It just so happened that each day this week turned out to be ten times busier than what's written in my little black book.

I'd like to take this opportunity to laugh just in case tom sales read the title before reading what's in caps. It wasn't originally intentional to make it sound like I broke up with my boyfriend but I'm not going back and changing it just in case that happened. tehe.

Last night was a bit of an adventure. There was the kid with the snaps down the side of his pants who was on speed, the senior behind me who would every once in a while give a navigational suggestion rather than a navigational order ("I'd go right"), and the girl next to me who would laugh with me at them. Which is always good. It's good to promote feminine comraderie.
I'm still tired. And Matt Esposito, wherever you are, I'd like those remaining signs outa my car asap. Thanks.
I have to take a nap before the info session about interning at Disney that I won't really be doing because I'm a loser. And then theres the debate from 645-930 that I preregistered for that I'm probably only staying at until 8/830. (numbers look cool in this font, btw. 1234567890) Then I'm giving my absentee ballots and such to tom sales not because he's a good guy and he wants to campus canvas Norsworthy but because he owes me for not showing up last night. (it's okay tom, you probably wouldn't have fit anyway. matt gave me well over 80 signs but i'm sure we could've managed).
Oh yea and then there's the prospectus for Men and Masculinities. I think I'm doing "Is chivalry dead?"
What d'ya think?

Back to the Shoprite music. 'Happy Birthday' to my grandfather means Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra cd for his car compliments of random clicking and direct connect. ;O)

if they built a playground there would be a ridiculous line for the swings.

That would be awesome by the way. You know you'd be like eh, I have ten minutes til class, I have time for one go at the swings, or one turn on the monkey bars.
I've noticed lately that certain things never leave us. Certain desires and basic needs that date back to the things we did when we were younger. Much younger than we'd sometimes like to remember. That's why this post is a bit of a shout out to the inner child that insists on playing beer pong (even though we may have graduated long ago) and enjoys a ride on a swing. Let's hope we'll be the ones to remember "what it was like" when it's us complaining to our kids.
(because you know you've promised to not be the same as your parents at one point or another).

Next time someone says to you, "Don't be silly" respond similar to this: "Why the hell not?".
Goodnight kiddies. :OP~

Good girl at school, Bad girl at home??

Where is the sense in this?
I saw him four times this weekend. I didn't go to church. I came home Saturday at 530 in the morning. What gives?? Apparently, I don't act out enough at school that I have to release any tension caused by this at home. Basically, my parents are facing the new teen in the house and the college girl who is living out her teenage rebellion in her 20s. Go figure. I'm managing my time well at school, so obviously I need to manage my time better at home...
What do you think, 'better late than never'?

"As you get older, you look more and more italian....It's okay, no body's perfect."

I DIDN'T APOLOGIZE.
Therefore, it was unnecessary to say 'it's okay' as if I needed to feel better about it. It isn't my fault you hate italians, Tom. (Yes this is directed toward tom. aka grizzly. aka my new pain in the butt). So I say to you, it's okay you don't like italians, Tom.
No body's perfect.

P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY YLA!!

You give me that funny feeling in my tummy.

It grosses me out when dip and salad dressing is chunky. As I type, I am helping myself to some of Becky's c-store-bought french onion dip and the fact that i'm not too keen on onions is making these small chunks a little hard to swallow. It isn't stopping me from eating it, but it isn't making the experience a particularly pleasant one. On top of the onions in the (God forbid) onion dip, there is pulp in my 'homestyle' lemonade. I know it's allowing for a more true to original form lemonade, but i mean, there's only 11% juice in this thing anyway. So it's sorta like lying. To make matters worse, the pulp isn't even lemon pulp!! It's WHITE GRAPEFRUIT! LIARS! THIEVES! I WANTED LEMONADE! NOT lemon-tasting, white grapefruit pulpified substitute!
Becky's sunkist can is bubbly, by the way. "very happy right now".
I think the bleu cheese chunks in bleu cheese dressing is absolutely APPALING and yet it happens that bleu cheese dressing is my favorite. The same way I like onion dip but hate the onions. What is it about the whole mixture that makes the individual ingredients more palatable?

Where oh where has my attention span gone? Oh where oh where could it be?

Okay. I was putting my clothes away, and then I noticed the TV (bc I don't, normally notice it) and I was thinking 'hm...you don't have a TV Guide, you don't know when the football games are on' So I walk over to the computer with a pair of jeans draped over my shoulder to check out nfl.com when I notice the frozen Tropicana Pina Colada smoothie I was attempting to defrost. So I try to open it again. It doesn't work. I use my pant leg as a buffer and it opens and it's yummy! Totally a wonderful frozen treat, right? Then I remember my sister wanted me to download some Avenged Sevenfold (bc she's cool like that and knows how to get favors) and so I go to click on the Direct Connect icon on my desktop, when I remember why I had originally sat down at my computer...nfl.com. The website still wasn't opened. And then I was like, wow I'm a totally distracted idiot. This interesting factoid was something I felt I had to share with everyone so I opened a window for nfl.com, double-clicked on the Direct Connect icon, and then proceeded to not check the game schedule, not download Avenged Sevenfold, but blog for the enjoyment of all of my readers.
::shakes head in disbelief::.
I still need to put my clothes away...

applebees...the new curse/cause/continuation of the freshmen 15.

I have to go to the gym tomorrow. Know that whole Freshmen 15 thing? yah well Don't think just bc i'm an upper classwoman that the freshmen 15 goes away. well i gotta message for ya. two words ready? apple-bees. yea that's right. 1/2 price apps is the worst thing to happen to be since soda and fries. some guy tried to punch the manager tonight and apparently missed bc we walked in and one of the glass panels on the door was gone. not missing, just obliterated. i can't find someone to go with me to see staind on tuesday. another concert missed. someone was complaining the other day that they thought they'd be lonely the rest of their life because ... i can't remember why but it was a ridiculous thing to say because this woman attracts many guys both wonderful and the opposite of wonderful and becoming a nun would not be becoming of her at all. in other news, my roommate is a siren of sorts and she has accumulated quite a number of totally wrecked ships. props, roomie. men need to be drawn to their doom. it's where they're headed anyway. might as well bring 'em there a little faster.
hah. just kidding guys. considering i only have male readers and my roommate probably isn't going to read this anyway, i need to apologize. but i only mean the apology half-heartedly unless you end up with a woman who serves you the way she was intended to.
whatever that means.

drinkin booze and raisin rifles hell straight through and through

What a way to start a Friday.
Things this college girl needs to bring back with her on monday:
  • nail clippers
  • some workout tshirts/shorts
  • stereo
  • short socks
  • posters
  • running/jogging sneakers
  • blank CDs (arrrr!)
  • lotion
  • reg. shorts
  • loofa
  • gloves (for cleaning)
  • Windex (for cleaning)

Sure they have purpose but I enjoy their randomness.

On a less happy note, this is probably the last time i'll be wearing this skirt. It will soon become a hand-me-down for the sister. It's always sad to lose an article of clothing due to it being too small for you.

I find it amazing that I seem to be on top of my requirements so far. And my plans as far as I know. We'll see how long it lasts...

P.S. I probably won't blog again until Monday or Tuesday.

HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND and happy labor day.
